"Rotaract" stands for "Rotary in Action". The purpose of The Rotaract Club of Pullman is to provide students an opportunity
To gain the knowledge and skills of young men and women that will assist them in personal development
To promote the professional growth of students by connecting them with rotarians and encouraging leadership.
To care for the various needs of our community
To promote interpersonal relationships between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
Rotaract originally began as a Rotary International youth program in 1968 and has now grown into a major Rotary-sponsored organization of over 7,300 Rotary club-sponsored Rotaract clubs with some 170,000 members— known as Rotaractors — in over 150 countries. Clubs are either based in the community or in a university. Rotaract clubs enable Rotaractors to grow personally and professionally, address community needs, and promote international understanding through friendship and service.
To be eligible for membership, prospective members must be 18-30 years of age, show that they are committed to Rotaract, and show that they are of good standing in the community.
The Rotaract Club of Pullman was founded in 2006 by a group of students who believed that they can improve society and wellbeing of people around them, locally and internationally.
